contact a local travel agency and ask about their hajj packages.. There might be a better chance of a discount if you reserve a spot early on.. Prices vary so dramatically.. Some people stay with relatives, some in hotels, some in furnished apartments, some rent houses espcially for this occation, some live in the hajj tents on the plains. Your local travel agent can fix up a package to suit your needs.. Goodluck! and May Allah bless your Hajj.. its a wonderful experience..
5 :
Hope your Hajj goes wonderfully. Please pray for us all and for peace in the world. Salam

best hajj program with good price and good service is about 7500 DHIRHAMS, including housing share tent, food, transporting, a male and a female doctor always with you, but if you want to do it in style from 60,000 to 250,000 the max, you will have your own room with 5 star hotle service

Question for Muslims?

Question for Muslims?
I heard that in Islam, interest is haram. I was wondering how banks in the middle east made money if they cannot charge interest? How did banks under the Taliban make money without interest? How do banks in strict Islamic countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt make money if they cannot charge interest? If banks cannot charge interest to make money, what incentive do they have to give loans? Antares, isn't that almost the same thing as charging interest? So, instead of charging interest, they are simply jacking up the price to begin with. I mean, it's the same principle. In Islam you're not supposed to make money off of money. Seems like they are splitting hairs to me.

Depends on the country you speak of. But in Saudi Arabia they use what is known as murabaha, 'The bank purchases the commodity on cash and sells it to the customer on a profit. Since the client has no money, he buys the commodity on deferred payment basis. Thus, the client got the commodity for which he wanted the finance and the Islamic bank made some profit on the amount it had spent in acquiring the commodity'

What rediculous sh*t. My priest told us that but we were like, hmmmm No thanks. Were muslim and my family still does it. God is not going to put you straight in hell for signing up for a bank. As long as you remain devoted to god, pray 5 times a day, and respect him you will be fine =P Its only the really conservative ones

usury is forbidden in Judaism,Christianity and Islam this is why we call for Islamic banking i think the link mentioned will give you brief understanding of this term http://www.islamic-banking.com/shariah/sr_murabaha.php by the way japan and many other countries reduce the interest rate to less than one percent to overcome the economic crises (to encourage investing) in addition that Keynes and many other economists which i dont recall their name right now cleared that the society will function perfectly if the interest rate equal zero specially in crises usury make the rich richer and the poor poorer and we suffered enough in the last crises

Who owns all the oil? Don't the ones who own most of it live in Saudi Arabia?

Who owns all the oil? Don't the ones who own most of it live in Saudi Arabia?
Wouldn't it be logical to assume that if the Insurgency wants more money then they would certainly want to, if they in fact own large amounts of oil, raise the price to get more money to fight the US in Iraq and plan for future battles? That is, if some of the oil is owned by countries who sympathize with the terrorists and the insurgencies wouldn't that give rise to higher oil costs? And wouldn't that send a ripple effect causing higher prices across the globe in the oil industry as it is a fact of business that what is good business for one market is good for another meaning let's raise the price and make some money today in spite of the long term effects of major industries and consumer expectation.

All the oil in the world is owned by Jesus, and, as the military arm of Christianity, it is the job of the US Military to liberate said oil from under the sand occupied by the heathens and use it to make the gasoline needed for Americans to drive their SUVs to church on Sunday. If you disagree with me, God will spank you with his mighty, invisible hand.
2 :
The US only imports 11 percent from Saudi. More is Imported from Canada aprox 13%. Mexico has the 2nd largest oil reserve in the world. The US imports 12% from them. On the large scale the US only imports a small percent from Saudi.
3 :
They won't raise the oil prices, when OPEC was pissed off and wouldn't sell to the US they almost clasped their economies, check out opec oil embargo 1973. If the raise the price extremely high and we couldn't afford it anymore the same thing would happen. Saudi Arabian royalty likes us anyways we make them lots of money they have their hands in our economy for an example a Saudi investment group owns 5% of chase bank, they don't want our economy to go down. As for the countries that don't like us like Iran, if they quit pumping oil or raise their price, Saudi arabia will increase production, they are not pumping at full capacity now. So in other words don't worry about it.

In Saudi Arabia the fat useless King and his family and friends. The majority of the people don't get a dime. That's why they have so many beggars. Regards.
5 :
Saudi Arabia is the heart of terrorism. The Royalty of that nation live in incredible wasteful wealth and splendor (no wonder they are adored by American Republicans); meanwhile the population resides in squalor. This is why the Saudi government supports the Wahabiist Schools which trains their young people that the reason for their misery is the Great Satan America. This misdirects all that justified anger at the west and keeps the Royalty safe from the needed revolution. They don't however produce or even sit on the lion share of oil. That distinction goes to Canada I think. It is also true that there are large untapped reserves in many locations right in the USA, and I don't mean just ANWAR. Texas has huge numbers of untapped fields. But the public can't be told that, because if we start really drilling here, the US will discover that the price won't really go down, as the international nature of the oil business will probably result in most of our oil being sold to the country with the most actual wealth... which is currently China.

Does it makes sense to give a stimulus payment to people who already have money?

Does it makes sense to give a stimulus payment to people who already have money?
Really, if they already have money in the bank, where do you think their stimulus payment will go? Straight into the bank. Wouldn't it make more sense to give that money to people who don't have any money? And also, if I have to spend my stimulus payment on gas, how will that help our economy? It only helps Saudi Arabia's economy.

LOL I absolutely love that baby picture!
2 :
Yeah, and the money for our economic stimulus package is being borrowed from China. So then Americans will go buy crappy products at Wal-Mart that are made in China. Whose economy are we REALLY stimulating? Not ours!
3 :
The US economy is DEAD! All the "stimulus" package will do ,is make the corpse twitch! Money it self doesn't make the economy work. It's the FLOW of money from hand to hand in a secure marketplace. What we have now is the belief that if some money is thrown into the mess,it'll be better. Not gonna happen! That's the same as thinking that the trees make the wind blow!
4 :
Everything republicans do is a bunch of BS. None of it makes sense. If anything they did made sense we wouldn't need to waste the money to do this stupid thing either. They know the rednecks love when they get a little love here & there. So mission accomplish will last them for a while. A check in the mail will last them for a while. They all need to have their heads examined.
5 :
The thing is, even if you put the money in the bank, it's still going into the economy, because the bank uses that money to make loans. Would it have a greater effect if you bought something with it? Yes. But it's still going to contribute.
6 :
The sitmulous payment is a joke. Nothing at all is accomplished. Nothing.
7 :
Mine will go into the bank. It won't make me want to go out and shop! Our school district is sending out letters to ask people to donate their checks to the schools to help outset the budget cuts...... I think the people who really need it will probably pay rent or electric bills with it. Not go out and fill up their car or see a movie or buy some new boots or video games!
8 :
1 - No. 2a - Bank. 2b - Fun. 2c - Essentials. 3 - No, they're ALREADY getting some free money! 4 - It will help our economy when you use the gas in your car to get yourself to work and back and to go shopping and return with your food and goodies. You see, we're a commercial nation and moving money around (aka spending) is what makes the system work as well as it does.
9 :
It's wrong to give none to those who need it most, and more to those who need it the least. Instead of a stimulus program, it's just another rebate to the wealthier taxpayers who voted for Bush.
