First of all, its ABERCROMBIE. Second of all, no it doesn't show you have money. If you want to look rich, go buy yourself some Chanel or Louis Vuitton. And you sound spoiled. Even though your not rich, you can still be spoiled. I'm the manager at HCO and its not easy nor fun. You have to WORK. And you have to be 16+.
2 :
Wow you should stop being such an assface. Shopping at abercrombie and hollister doesn't show you have any money. Try shopping at Nordstrom where they sell real quality clothing. Show some class by wearing a pair of actual designer clothes. Anyone can go to an abercrombie outlet and buy the same exact stuff you do for half the price. Stop being stuck up and grow up. Especially if you're poor
3 :
probably the store u like to shop at the most!
4 :
Well you're not going to get hired anywhere if you can't even spell the word "clothes" correctly.
5 :
little girl, YOU don't have money, YOUR MAMA has money. don't get that confused. and second of all, you are the reason why hollister and abercrombie have bad stereotypes. get your head out of your ass and learn about real f***** life.

WILL NBA STARS LEAVE FOR EURO $$$?
The Euros ae worth more than the dollar its' a public fact , and the Euro basketball league has no salary cap. Now ever since Josh childress turn down the Atlanta hawks contract an opted to play overseas where he would make more money and pay no taxes, rumors have been flying around about other NBA players following suit. Kobe even told a reporter its hard to turn down 50 million a season. Could you imagine the NBA without it's premiere players?

i would be outraged!!!!
2 :
ive read articles that the likes of Bryant and James would consider playing for EuroLeagues if they can pay them as high as 50 million euro dollars. but i think the fame and popularity that the NBA can give is something that the Euro Teams cant give. Why do you think Euro players plays in the NBA? not only do they want to try it, but also the fame they can get. Look at PArker who ended up getting Eva as his wife. Get the idea? =)
3 :
I dont think so. These NBA players are earning A LOT off endorsements. A lot of NBA superstars earn more money off endorsements (shoes, jerseys, mcdonalds, coca cola, ect) than they do playing basketball. I highly doubt anyone in the US wants to buy a Kobe Bryant euro team jersey. Sure, the euro teams have more money to spend on contracts. But going to europe means a decrease in popularity here.
4 :
Well the pioneer is Josh Childress. There will be a few more and one of them will bound to be a big name. So depending on their reactions and their success (on the court/economically), the players in the States will respond accordingly. I doubt Lebron will skate over but the Lakers will need ball sacs to call Kobe on his bluff especially if Kobe wins a championship in the next 2 years. He will have nothing left to prove in the NBA. He has the European ties and his popularity overseas seems to be even greater if that is possible. I believe most likely the top stars will remain in the US but you will get an all-star or former all-star like Marbury headed over soon enough.
5 :
I can see it happening now that so many decent players; Childress, Delfino, Boykins, Kristic are all leaving... plus the teams over in Europe like u said are offering so much more money so yeah... there is a high chance we will see some stars leave even if its only for a year or two.
6 :
yes, but there will be more premiere players developing in the NBA as others leave it.
7 :
this is mostly a bluff from the likes of Lebron and Ko to prompt Dave Stern to loosen the max salary cap currently at $15M per annum...
8 :
Sooner or later its going to happen. If I were Kobe or LeBron etc., I would play in Europe for $50 million a year in a heartbeat! You can only make 1/2 of that (or less after taxes) playing in the NBA. Even if LBJ only played for 3 years in Greece, he'd still be in his prime (after making $150,000,000) if he wanted to come back and take a pay cut to come back to the NBA. And...if European teams are offering that kind of money to players, it's only a matter of time before the Euro Leagues have better talent than the NBA does....so if you wanted to be the best you'd HAVE to go to Europe to play the best. That's a scary thought to me as an NBA fan.
9 :
I believe Kobe could leave in the next 3 to 4 years, someone said that the Euro league is not as popular and as prestigious as the NBA that's exactly why they want a Kobe or a Lebron believe if of one them goes there whichever league he goes will be popular instantly and will be a lot more exposed. If they both go I can't imagine what will be happen, they have endorsement there too Nike, Coke, etc... Someone said that Euro players want to come here and get popularity, first not all the best Euro play in the NBA, a lot of them are still in Europe and second some actually turn down the chance to come to the NBA or return to Europe because they don't feel that they need to be in the NBA to improve and I agree with them.
10 :
Yes, they would if the price is right. If they can earn their money in 2 years why wait for 4 or 5 years if they are going to stay in the NBA.
11 :
Yes

Who thinks the rich are greedy and should be taxed more?

Who thinks the rich are greedy and should be taxed more?
I always see people here complaining about how much money the rich make and how they ae greedy and should be taxed more and more. people even seem hateful towards the rich, but why? they are productive members of society who contribute in the form of taxes. shouldn't we turn our attention to the poor/lazy. they take but do not contribute to our society, yet they always seem to cry and complain the gov isn't doing enough for them i see liberals complaining already, why are you attacking the poor? in this modern society anyone with a little ambition and hard work can be in the middle class. if you are poor you choose to be poor. by the way, i am not rich, i was raised by poor immigrant parents, who like me also found there way to the middle class through hard work

i do. the more money u have and the bigger houses you have you should be taxed more for it mostly because you can afford it
2 :
Not me.Most of them earned every penny from being smart and working hard. That money belongs to them!
3 :
i think that the rich ppl got their through hard work rich ppl give us jobs you tax them they will lay ppl off
4 :
The rich and "greedy" pay mine, yours, and everyone elses paycheck. Ugh... America is sinking so quick...
5 :
It's funny to see people here take the position that the rich are evil and greedy and should be taxed more. Even the poor in America are among the wealthiest people on the planet. As seen through the eyes of the desperately poor in Africa, for example, a computer and the money to pay for internet access represents a level of wealth that they can't imagine. If all the socialists on YA truly had the courage of their convictions, they'd do without these "luxuries" and send the money to people who are starving. But somehow, their moral arguments stop at the border, and their vision of socialism conveniently results in them being on the receiving end only.
6 :
well they think that just because they work hard all their life they should support the lazy people that do not
7 :
me. i think they are greed they should help the poor people
8 :
they should not be taxed more
9 :
the rich supply jobs, we can't get by without them. they did a study at florida state and found that libs have a much lower I.Q. then conservitives REALLY!!
10 :
Communists, that's who. Dirty, stinking communists. They learned a lot by watching Satan, who's great trick was to make people believe that he doesn't exist. We thought we won the cold war! Lenin and Stalin, Marx and Engles must be laughing now.
11 :
Look this is a play right out of the socialist Manifesto. Tax the so called rich and give it to the less fortunate.Until on day there are no longer rich people and company's and also no jobs and no economy.Money is what keeps the engine of this nation going and it is a capitalist nation to spite what the liberals say.If one of my kids happens to work hard and make a good life for him/her self and make money by working hard, why should they be forced to give it to the government were they decide what to do with it....Let them pay there taxes but don't make pay so much that it won't be worth working any more...
12 :
It should be that you have to give a certain percentage to what you earn for eveyone. I envy the rich. They have what I don't so I hate them. Fuc k it got to keep living. On the other side the poor usualy stuck in their situation no matter what they do. And sometimes they do need but in some cases with the lazy people take advantage of the government help.
13 :
These same people that complain about the rich don't mind getting their paychecks from these same people. The only ones I know that complain about the rich are the dimwits in Washington (which by the way are rich themselves-funny how they forget that)and those that want more handouts.I went to college and work for my money and it should be only MINE.I'll give if I want too, don't tell me that I have to as you will come up against one mad woman. If the rich have more money then me, will good for them,I have no problem with that.I say thank God,since I love getting paid for my work. When was the last time anyone worked for a poor man and got paid.
14 :
I agree to an extent. I was raised by a single mother who unfortunately couldn't raise 2 kids alone. I was withdrawn from school in 9th grade to work full time and help support the family. My education was held far back because of this and just recently (14 years later) I am back in school and pursuing a nursing career. During those 14 years, I married, had children and worked really good factory jobs...my husband and I brought home after taxes $2000 a week. We had a house, nice cars, everything until our company laid everyone off when Bush was president. They moved overseas and we had to file bankruptcy. Lost our house, our cars and almost our children because we had nowhere to live. Since then, we have worked our way back up, very slowly, but were working at it. So I agree that anyone can work they way out of being in a poor class if they really want to. I also agree that the rich can be very greedy. As I remember quite well what it was like to have $2000 a week vs now having $500 a week. It is human nature to want things if you can afford it, but we rarely see that perhaps one day we won't be able to afford it anymore, and go bankrupt rather than spending wisely like we should be doing. Also, the way I look at it is, at one time, the rich were middle class people, even if it means going back several generations, and they have only continued to be rich because the middle class pay them. So it's only fair to tax them as we are taxed otherwise the middle class won't be able to afford to keep the rich, rich! It's a cycle and some people just don't see it.....sad.. Also, I agree with the poor statement about how they always seem to complain about how the government doesn't do enough for them. Actually, we are the ones who pay the taxes to help you sit on your butt and get foodstamps. I had an ex-roomate who is 29 with 2 kids and worked a total of 2 years in her life. She took advantage of everything my tax dollars paid for her to do nothing but gripe that it's still not good enough while I work my butt off to pay her rent, her water bill, and take care of me and my 2 children. It was ridiculous! Ughh, I can't stand people like that who are too good sitting up on their high horse thinking the world owes them. I'm sorry, but I don't owe anyone s**t! Lol, just had to vent ;)

I'm for taxing the rich more. Especially those sick people that work 60 hrs per week. Anyone working 60 hrs or more per week should be taxed at 1 1/2 the rate of people only working 40 hrs per week. So if a 40 hr/wk man is paying 15% a 60 hr/wk man should pay 37 1/2%. And a guy working 20 hrs/wk would only pay 7 1/2 %. So lets use $20/hr just for figuring purposes. The guy working 20 hrs would make $400 and pay $30 in taxes leaving a take home of $370. Which would mean an actual pay of $18.5/hr At 40 hrs the pay would be $800 and taxes would be $120 and take home 680 for an actual of $17/hr The greedy 60 hr/wk guy would make 1200 at reg rate and 200 in overtime for a total of 1400 and would pay 525 in taxes for a take home of 875 or 14.58 per hour. This would make those greedy sob's think twice about working overtime and force companies to hire more people. That way we'd have three guys making 680 per week each and paying a total of 360 per week in taxes instead of two making 1400 and paying a total of 1050 in taxes. Wait a minute this isn't working out right. That means if we raise the taxes on the rich we'll have more people making less money paying less in taxes and both the people and the government will go broke. I don't think that is right. Raising taxes on the rich should bring in more money not less. Won't it bring in more money to the government?

What do you consider preppy when it comes to fashion???

What do you consider preppy when it comes to fashion???
I only consider Ralph Lauren, J. Press, Brooks Brothers, and J. Crew preppy. A&F, AE, and Hollister are sooo unflattering and beach-bummy to the point its like you paid how much for that and you still look like crap. I seriously don't get it...if you are gonna spend some money on clothes why do you wanna look like a walking billboard instead of making a statement and letting your clothes be a reflection of yourself. Now granted I make good $$$, 70k/yr., and like to spend money to look good, but really whats the appeal of faux-preppy brands??? Are teenagers so hung up on $ that they feel they need to keep up with the Jones when it comes to fashion, or do you guys and girl just have no taste at all???

i dont think those stores are THAT preppy, and i kinda like guys that wear abercrombie, ae, a&f, and stores like that. i think that guys dont think that they are preppy, maybe you just have a different opinion
3 :
Meh, just because they buy shirts for 50$ it makes them feel cool? I have no idea... I'd rather buy some hemp shorts for 50$!
4 :
I think the big thing with the whole "PREP" look is how much you spend. Like you said Ralph Lauren, and i am not familiar with the others you have mentioned. I personally like Lacoste J.Lindenberg , hugo boss and others such as these.
5 :
Well i consider J.crew, Lacoste, burberry, Ralph Lauren etc.. a classic preppy and Hollister, A&F, AE etc a nouvelle prep look. with me being 13 i do find my self wearing hollister and american eagle however most of my shirts are J.Crew, vineyard vines, Raulf Lauren, Lacoste, Banana Republic etc... so i consider my self to be a classic prep (wich is rare in my age group and throught the americas) but as i mentioned above i do wear hollister at the beach and AE at soccer practice. But as for keeping up with the Jones some of hollisters/ae shirts are nice and suited for the beach or sporting activities however i outwardly hate A&F for being ridicously overpriced and of poor quality so i do not like there clothes. And i do agree that they are un flattering im 5'6'' 150 lbs with a 33'' waist and a AE polo i have makes me look fat and the same goes for a hollister t shirt they are not made for regular sized people i do lots of weights so my arms are bigger and i need to alter hollister tees to stop them from cutting off circulation.

Ralph Lauren- Polo, Purple Label, Black Label, RL Collection is more edgy although I am not familiar with that line very well. Brooks Brothers* That's the original, after all RL wanted to be like them. Lacoste, before 2000. Now it's ruined by rappers.
