Why doesnt Britain ask the Saudis and Arabs for money to help them in the recession?
I understand that Britain is undergoing a recession and day in day out the Goverment is talking about cut backs left right and centre. The only people on the planet with the real money is them filthy rich oil Arab barons. The chancellor said something like a 20 bilion deficit. Why doesnt he just go to Saudi Arabia and ask their goverment to give this money to him free? I mean 20 billion is like 20£ to these Arabs they can make that money back in one week. Why doesnt he in "exchange" promise to help the Saudis build a nuclear device (but just pretend) and help them build up their Army and Airforce (NOT)? As soon as the Arabs hand over the money, just "help" them slowly and slowly and give them the illusion that they all the planes they get are really advanced and give them a little box and tell them never to open it because thats the Atom bomb. Would this work? Could the Arabs be duped like this? Also tell them that the Saudis and all the rich sheikhs and the many 1000's of Princes can come to London anytime and fulfill their pleasures they need? For instance tell them that they can do "Anything" i mean "Anything" they want in London? If they want to drink our finest wines, live in the finest hotel, take any car they see. I mean tell them they can have any women they want on England. I mean they just love that blonde, blue eyed look. I mean they would pay a blond women or even a mans weight in gold just to have one. Every damn time you see them in casinos and bars they have a whole host of blonde blue eyed young Russians with them! So why doesnt the British goverment do that? Could it work?

There is no point in borrowing money to pay your debt, because you still have the debt, you just owe it to someone else.

The Arabs - if they so wanted- are already getting all the fine things of Western blend because - doh- money buys everything. Yes, EVERYthing. Asking help from the Arabs. Well, maybe Europe's tied to an axis that prevents it from crossing it. No exceptions allowed. There's only one big player in this world and it's really not the "filthy Arabs"...
3 :
We have probably borrowed all the money we can from them already. Our national debt is too big to be paid off by any other nation - even filthy rich arabs are just not filthy rich enough. Our total debt is over £900 BILLION. The Saudis only have a paltry £250 billion in their Sovereign wealth fund and most of that will not be in cash but invested. Nothing simple like this would work unfortunately.

I'm an Arabian there are 6 rich arabian countries and the rest are bore like other asian countries(including mine :( ) what should you ask is why does the UK helps poor arab countries like Yemen while it passes by its worst recession in history but for the 2nd part of the Question yes arabs can die for Rusian girls we have to many blondes and men usually like rare things

It is public financial illiteracy which got the UK into the present mess, and it will take a lot more than 20 billion to get us out of it. You have some very odd ideas about relations between Britain and the various Arab countries allied to us in the middle east.

"The only people on the planet with the real money is them filthy rich Arab barons." Except for the Chinese. About 1/2 of Britains debt is already owed to China. That's one of the most common myths about Saudi Arabia. For some reason a lot of people think we are really really rich. And even though they think we are rich, they are surprised when they know that we have the same technology they have. The problem is that King Fahad himself said that the average Saudi has 2 cars and a lot of money (I don't remember how much he said). The real facts is that in Saudi Arabia there are some people who are rich, some who are average, and some who are really really poor. When I say really poor I mean really really poor. These poor people can't find jobs because these jobs are taken by Indians, Philippians, Indonesians, etc.

What do you think should be done to save world cup entertainment?
Before today's semifinal crowds of people gathered in front of street screens, in the pubs or clubs to watch the event. After the hour of play most walked away-I guess people on the stadium stayed only because they already paid lots of money for this criminally overpriced event and felt trapped. But I would not blame the football in general, nor would i say that game is in crisis worldwide-recent Copa America, Champions league matches, different national regshave been entertaining and productive. So something is wrong with World Cup structure what turns the whole event into the penalty shot out championsheap, for more then decade already since 1990... What do you think can be done to save the World Cup. Any idea how tor reform the tournament?May be best idea world be going back to 24 teams so spoilers lke Saudi Arabia or Croatia would not be there at all and group state would be more interesting, plus make it same as it was in Spain 1982, so in second stage teams would be forced to attack

Will the Saudi funded mosque at ground zero teach what is taught?
in the textbooks used in Saudi Arabia? If not, why not? Follow the money they say... The Report makes extremely distressing reading. Islam is presented as the only true religion, while all others are presented as false. Islam leads its followers to paradise, whereas all others lead their believers to destruction in hell. Saudi children are taught that they are superior, as Muslims, in both this world and the next. Christians and Jews are explicitly denounced as infidels, and are called the enemies of Islam and Muslims. They should not be befriended, nor emulated in any way, as this is forbidden. The West is the source of evil that has afflicted the Muslim world. Western democracy is totally rejected. Teaching Hatred in Saudi Arabia and Egypt: The UN Response By: David G. Littman Friday, October 01, 2004 Apparently this is taught in hundreds of mosques in the USA already...do we really need another , high profile madrassah of such things? Satalite eyes...it is the Constitution and the continuation of the same that concerns me in this thing...not the religious aspect of it. There are no guarantees of freedom to oppose and repeal the constitution, in the constitution. If Islam is successful in their stated goals, our Constitution will become a truly historical document...a thing of the past, only. A curiosity....there is nothing like it in Saudi Arabia or any other muslim country. The Saudi folk are acting consistent with their beliefs...and with the Koran. It is the west that is hypocritical, in that we do not know what we believe, or believe nothing strongly enough to stand up against an assault like this mosque, and the silent jihad it represents. The imam may be right..our children and grandchildren may be muslim if we remain "politically correct, and culturally sensative". And our President leads the way on these fronts.

I fail to understand how the Saudi Government is able to go around building mosques all over the place, yet not a single church, synagogue, or other place of worship is allowed in their country. They win the hypocritical award.

For the record I have gone to school (university) with a lot of kids who graduated from Saudi funded schools and the ones I have met seem to be fine well-adjusted people, and not one of them has said they were better than me, tried to convert me, or tried to kill me because I'm a Christian. While I am very skeptical of the Saudi government and always will be and find it to be a shame that they teach some of this stuff, I think the vast majority of the students will know right from wrong.

Most americans fund terror .........did you know that?
Our government has made china a great trading partner and we americans now buy a lot of things made in China, and China is empowered because of this and they make weapons which they sell mostly to countries who hate the USA. Some of these countries give weapons to terrorists who then use them against our soldiers...weapons used mostly by shia insurgents in iraq. Americans also buy oil from Saudi Arabia....from which they makes tons of money, and we all know that Saudi Arabia use their wealth to fund the sunni insurgents and perhaps even Alquaeda who kill our soldiers in Iraq. Now do you see how americans fund terror??

That is a good point. Did you know that China funds democracy in Iraq, and the US. Did you know that China pays for our social security, welfare, and immigration problems? Same logic as you use. So I guess business is good for both countries.

But the economic hit the U.S. would take from not trading with China would be worse than the consequences of trading with China. Next.

I think you are absolutely correct, but you are only touching on the tip of the iceberg. One way to look at it is like getting the dog to start chasing its tail and how hard it is to get him to stop. Why does Bush support the Saudis, who help our enemies?
Why does Bush support the Saudis, who help our enemies?
I believe that in 2003, instead of Iraq being invaded, real terrorist sponsoring countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Pakistan should have been invaded. We should have let Saddam stay in power and we should have funded him to help raise a real army so he could invade Iran for us so we didn't have to reinstate the draft in the US. Saddam hated Iran ten times more than he hated the US and he would have invaded Iran once he heard they were seeking nuclear power. Saddam, no matter how hard he went on his people, was a useful ally to the US and we should have never even have invaded Iraq in 1990 because he would have still been our ally and he would have still had a real army. I think Bush should cut all ties to the totaltarian government of Saudi Arabia, but he makes way too much money to cut the ties.

Your post shows just how naive you really are. Saudi Arabia is a complicated country whom we rely on heavily for their oil. Like it or not, that is just a fact. Their government doesn't support terrorism, it just tends to breed terrorism. Saddam posed an actual threat evidenced by his treatment of the Kurds, his threats to Kuwait and Israel and the west, his use of chemical and biological weapons, and his insistence and efforts in acquiring nuclear weapons. The world is a safer place without him today than it was before.
3 :
Because Saudi Arabia provides the OIL we need/want. Basically, we support them for the same reason we support COMMUNIST China--it'd be the downfall of the US if we didn't.

We actually have a good relationship with the Saudis and have had for a good many years. LONG before Bush came along. We also train their helicopter pilots and offer other military training to them right here in the U.S. Again, this has been going on since long before the Bush regime came into power. Like any other country, they have their share of outlaws. To break up our diplomatic relationship with them, would be one of the biggest mistakes that we could ever make. :)
