Imagine Iran had the capability to take Ottowa with a large military force. What do you think the U.S. response would be? The current situation in Iraq seems like it would be a dream job for building and defense contractors, except of course for those who are taken hostage. U.S. contractors build. Those buildings get blown up. The contractors rebuild. Those buildings get blown up. As long as taxpayers have money and nobody thinks too much about national debts and deficits (not to mention the hugely inflated building costs) this could go on for centuries, unless we make all of the Middle East U.S. friendly. What do you think the odds would be on that? Bill C.: Ottowa is the capital of Canada, last time I checked.

The terrorists are in this battle against us for the long haul whether you like it or not. If we don't match their focus and stamina, we will surely lose.

Bush is betting on the Iraqi government being US friendly. lets all pray he's right because nobody i know can stop him form shooting first asking questions later.
