You probably have hundreds of CIA agents in Korea and Iran. You claim you want to bring democracy to the places that need them. But what do you do to change the situation in Myanmar. If it doesn’t concern your selfish capitalistic needs you do nothing. Saudi Arabia. Woman have almost no rights their but you are good friends with them. Why because of oil. You have great power. And like spider-man use to say: With great power comes great responsibility What do you do to help Myanmar? What do you do to make the world a better place? All you do is make America better to those who have money i did not say invade them how could that help that the only way you can do things

Surely you realise that the people of America, the great 'democratic' nation, have very little say on what the President and his fellow muppets actually do? BS. We are the only country in the world imposing economic sanctions on Myanmar because of their government's actions. But, of course, America is always wrong, right? Fool.

WELL DONE MATE!! Myanmar??????????? They have nothing that Mr Bush and Mr Cheney want, they will not help them. US Government today are crooks. They are not even think for their own people who were hit by Katrina for example. Bush, Cheney, Rice all the same. They all nutts, they all are evils. I really wish they get punished while I can still see it. I also wish that they, whoever they are who help the 3 of those evils, will also get punished. If we cant do it, I am sure God CAN. I really wish. The world have enough trouble caused by those 3 evils.

We probably could intervene militarily...if we weren't so overstretched in Iraq and Afghanistan. If Bush hadn't sent us into Iraq to look for weapons that were not there, and terrorists that were not there (until we invaded it), then maybe we could send in troops. But then, we'd have to worry about China getting into it, because China would never stand for having us on their doorstep...read your history, remember the Korean war? Yes, we were winning until China intervened. Not to mention the fact, that the rest of the world would be upset with us for going to war, instead of giving sanctions a chance to work or solving things with a political solution...like Iraq. So, before you bash the US for not helping Myanmar remember those things and realize that: - Even Spiderman can't be everywhere at once. - We HAVE sanctions against Myanmar, so ask the rest of the world what THEY are doing to help Myanmar. - We HAVE always tried to make the world a better place: ...helped the allies defeat Germany in WWI, ...helped liberate Europe and most of Asia in WWII, ...helped rebuild Europe after WWII, ...helped defend Korea from communism, ...TRIED to help defend Vietnam from communism, ...helped liberate Kuwait, ...defeated the Taliban government in Afghanistan, ...TRIED to bring Democracy to Iraq, ...not to mention food and economic aid every time there is a natural disaster somewhere. Sometimes when we help others it works, sometimes it doesn't. But we do try to help others. Your problem is that you only focus on the negative...Iraq, Vietnam, Oil. Do your history, you will find that Americans HAVE helped the world. If WWII had ended with Axis powers winning, you might be speaking Japanese, German, or be dead.

America is so hated around the world yet if something happens they expect us to sacrifice our young people, money and time to bail them out. After we do they will shower us with ingratitude. You caught us, the US is a country that behaves in its own national interest. We are like every other country under the sun in that respect. Grow up and take care of yourself or t least blame the right people.

Its not just America that has imposed sanctions. The EU imposed sanctions apart from humanitarian aid. The only large western company that is currently working out of Burma is Total. What a surprise when oil comes into play all thoughts of human rights are out the window.
